OK, here's how I see it, JAK sitting around with nothing to do, so she comes up with the perfectly terrible book. I love JAK, but I would have done better not reading this book. It starts out bad, and doesn't get any better. I just kept waiting for something to happen, and it drags, and it drags, and when you think something might happen...it drags some more.

Angie Townsend married Owen Sutherland out of love. On their wedding night, though, a phone call to her honeymoon suite and an envelope delivered to the door with a copy of a post-dated press release made her wonder if she had been played for a fool. After all, their courtship had been what the public would call a "whirlwind". And their families had been rivals in the hotel business for a long time. Had Owen married her only to con her family into merging companies? Angie decided the consummation of her new marriage would be put on hold until she found out! ***** The early works of author Jayne Ann Krentz has long been my favorites. I decided to pull out a few of them, during my short vacation, and escape for awhile. This novel (along with "Family Man") is one of the best, in my opinion. It is loaded with romance, suspense, danger, mystery, and a gothic flavor. Victoria Holt fans would especially love this one. If you have not read this story as yet, you are missing out on a terrific time! Pick up a copy!

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time! The characters really come alive. You can really understand Owen's frustration when Angie tells him he must prove himself before she will become in wife in every way. On the other hand you can really understand Angie's anger and fear at finding out that not only her new husband but her whole family has kept this big secret from her. You can also understand Angie's disapointment in Owen's refusal to tell her how he feels about her. All in all it was a great book that kept moving and was very true to life! Great Job Ms. Krentz!!!!
Another winner!

As usual, it was funny and sad and I could not put it down. Highly recommend any book by this author, no matter who she is when she writes it!!
Loved it!!

I love all of Krentz books. The heroine in this book is spunky and can very much stand on her own. I love to read about strong women.-Hotel magnate Owen Sutherland is marry Angie Townsend so their two hotel can merge. When Angie finds out about this is declared war...and the honeymoon is off until Owen can proved that he marries her for love.
