Book Overview

Sometimes the best man isn't even in the wedding party... Gavin Greene is a hopeless romantic. He's also a professional one: he writes the wedding column for a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, covering spectacular parties from coast to coast. But there's a thin line between being a hotshot reporter on assignment...and being a single guy alone on a Saturday night at someone else's wedding. Everything changes on New Year's when Gavin meets Melinda,...

Not bad but nothing special

The physical book itself cane in pretty good condition. As for the contents of the book it was The narrator is a journalist who writes a column on weddings and is pretty unlucky in love. One day he meets a woman at a party and falls in love with her. Unfortunately for him, he only gets her first name and more or less scours the city looking for her. He then meets her again...only to find out she is the bride in a wedding he has to cover. Its a very easy and quick read. There were some pretty funny moments and (a bit of) a twist at the end. The book follows the beat of the basic rom-com movie (which I am a fan of) but doesn't allow for much sophistication. There is nothing inherently bad about it but it is pretty forgettable. If you want a cute little romcom that you can speed through then I would reccomend.
