The Way of the Wayfarer Without a Way is a literary work of interwoven tales about the ways of love and surrender. It is also a tafseer al quran (exegesis). Similar in form to Rumi's Masnavi, it is written in meter with rhymed couplets, and consists of original spiritual tales, stories of the Prophets from the three Abrahamic faiths, and from other wisdom traditions such as taoism and buddhism. Khidr meets Milarepa, and Rabi'a goes on hajj in these tales of love, adventure, mystery and wonder, like the 1001 Arabian Nights or a halal Harry Potter, a Muslim Pilgrims Progress or Canterbury Tales, and all serving as Qur'anic tafseer.
