The Way of the Cross

The Way Made PlainWhen Jesus said, "I am the way," He meant just that. It may seem that we can have a thousand ways to go, but it boils down to just two-life and death-and it is left to us to choose our way. On the one hand, Proverbs 14:12 warns us: "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." That's what Paul referred to in Philippians 3:18-19: "For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things."The way of the cross is the only way to Heaven, and that cross belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ. If we want to inherit eternal life, we must join Him in the way because He is the way. The banner we carry is the cross of Christ. Jesus said that "whosoever doth not bear his cross, andcome after me, cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:27). If we don't follow the way of the cross, then we simply have never found it
