I'm an avid reader; always searching for answers in spiritual realms. This book, along with Sitchin's, Twelfth Planet, for me brings together the ragged strings of chaotic religious/historical thought. A great deal of annotated research has gone into the writing of this book.
Way of Melchizedek...Way of Christ!

I have read both the un-edited and edited version of this book. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down until I finished it. Mr. Cossette will surely take criticism for this book. Anything that does not follow traditional teaching lines is always considered to be suspect. This book is certainly no pre-chewed babble and is worthy of consideration. I find what was written was fresh and something to give serious thought to. This book reveals the love, mercy, and grace of God and the great lengths that He took to see that there was indeed a testimony to His glory, written in the stars for all mankind to see. I also appreciated the truthfulness and openness that Mr. Cossette had when he wrote about himself and his journey in life. He openly speaks of his failures and his need for Christ in his life. He does not hide mistakes and sins that he made along the way. What a fresh approach for the day we live in. There are many people today, believers and unbelievers alike that do not know that God is alive and well and still speaks to men. I would recommend this book for all to read and add to their own library. Rather than just read this book it is one that a person will want to take the time to really get into and study for themselves. The main thing I got out of this book is the importance of maintaining communion with God. That we need to communicate with God as much as we need to have Him communicate to us. God is alive and well, He still sits upon the throne, and He still speaks to people today as He did all those years ago to His disciples and those that came before them and after them. Do I agree with everything in this book? No! I feel that as a person in my own right I will very seldom agree with everything that anyone may have to say. After all I am just a human being with my faults as Mr. Cossette is also a human and will have his. This book breaks with tradition and will give anyone that reads it pause to meditate and consider what he says. Anything that causes us to rethink and return to God to seek His Word, thoughts and His ways on anything should be welcome in a Christian's life.
Spiritually and mentally stimulating

The Way Of Melchizedek is a fascinating look at ancient astronomy and the feasts of the ancient Israelites. The key word here is as other reviewers have said,"thought provoking".It brings one to conclude that alot of ancient wisdom has been lost over the years. The book expounds on the teachings of the prophets and prophecies illustrated in astronomy. I found the quite fasinating. The author's autobiography in the second half of the book, causes one to think abd ask, where are we at in time. I found the book mentally and spiritually stimiulating.
Compelling and thought provoking

While one will find numerous grammatical errors associated with this book, it is the CONTENT that should be judged. The writer's honesty in his life story is refreshing indeed! It's nice to see that the messanger doesn't try to get in the way of the message. Perhaps it is as our King has said, "By this, will all men know that you are my followers, by the love(mercy, forgiveness, kindness, etc.,)that you have on for another". One dosen't have to agree with all points of this book. I, for one, DO beleive that He still speaks to His people! The book issues a challenge to its reader, "Do you beleive in man's teachings, or do you beleive in His Spirit to teach you?" That question can only be answered by each individual.
Significant contribution in debates with fundamentalism

Tom Cossette has written a remarkable book. Outside the religious establishment and conversant with fundamentalism he reminds us that unless we are born of the Spirit we have missed the mark. Throughout Bibical History he documents the resistance to the conventional wisdom of religious establishments and reminds us real wisdom is "born from above." His biographical chapters in the last half of the book demonstrate the authentic voice of lived experience as it encounters the revealed word of scripture. Tom demonstrates one doesn't have to be a PHD or member of the religious establishment to make significant contributions to religious and spiritual conversation. We need more Tom Cossettes to bring us a more down to earth theology and practical insight. Submitted by Rev. DR. William Briggs
