Not-being-codependent is not a thing. Codependency is a flavor of the inevitable interdependent relationships between humans. The codependent flavor comes from relational practices based on culturally-coded premises of need, obligation, and scarcity. In order to move beyond codependency, I need a new way to approach interdependence. I call my way The Way of Devotion, and it informs my implementation of practices, processes, and patterns of relationship based on wellbeing, agency, and abundance.
The Way of Devotion is a simple, potent text, written in the first person, about how I hold empowerment in my life. This Way is how I show up to all the relationships in my life from the Ground of Wellbeing, overflowing with love. This is an introduction to the Timeless Technology of Right Relationship and The Village Principles which serve humans in close connection beyond need, lack, codependency, and scarcity. This is technology others need not know or apply for me to apply it successfully--it is the way I alone can transform any relationship in my life without the effort or buy-in of the other.
