Loved this book! Great story line; thorough character development; beautiful prose evoking strong sensuality without coarse overtones. I highly recommend this book.

Drowning in Love

Dawn Thompson's tale of destiny and love grabs a reader in the first pages when Lady Rebecca Gildersleeve's carriage crashes and the wonderfully sexy Count Klaus Lindegren sets himself on a path of saving our heroine from her gambling addicted, overbearing father, who has promised her hand as a payment for his losses. Dawn Thompson picks up a brush and paints walk into scenes where you feel the mist engulfing you, the dew laden branches of plants caressing your skin one minute, the next you're being chased by a misguided father and loathsome fiance who makes your skin crawl. To a person who's afraid of being in water more than kneedeep, I longed to walk into the pools of the Fossegrim and dip into the waters of the paranormal. Great book by a marvelous storyteller.

Wonderful Read!

After reading THE RAVENCLIFF BRIDE, I anxiously awaited Dawn Thompson's next romance. I wasn't disappointed. THE WATERLORD surpassed my expectations. Her story wove historical and fantasy romance into an exciting read. If you've read and liked BRIDE, you'll love THE WATERLORD. Fans of both historical romance and fantasy will find this a great read.

10 stars if I could

I read The Ravencliff Bride and really thought it one of the best books I have read in a long time. So I wondered if the author could do it again. I have to say I loved The Waterlord even more. So I simply cannot wait for The Falcon's Bride. This author is no on my pre-order list. I loved the lore woven into this tale, very original. Thompson is a star in the making.
