This is their story
At an impromptu watering hole Haṃsa bestowed its gift. It was the gift of circumstance, divine intervention that led Fire and Water to their first 'hello'. Two migrations tempted from the furthest positions. And with Svādhiṣṭhāna and Maṇipūra in balance, two elephants were affected upon a common path. Prāṇa kept them on it.
Over the seasons that followed the elephants meandered upon a common path. They learned of one another and along the way, themselves.
"One was small, a cow, with courage exceeding her stature and a soul beyond her seasons... She was Fire..."
"The other big, a bull, scarred by the distance traveled, showed in his greying hairs... He was Water..."
"The place to where she rose up and he came down is where they met... the middle..."
The Watering Hole is a metaphorical tale of friendship and spirituality. Two elephants from different migrations formed an unexpected bond. The story follows their fledgling friendship and the various phases through which it went. Subtle undertones of Buddhism help explain their respective nature and the influence Haṃsa and Prāṇa, had upon them. With the African plain as the backdrop, their paths are revealed.
It's a lesson of "Life's Migration". A perspective on how the phase in which we find ourselves, affects who we are, the relationships we form and who we'll evolve to be. And though we'd prefer to believe that control is ours, there are whimsical forces at play. Call it Energy, The Universe, Prāṇa or something else, a greater power binds us all. The influence of this force sways us without detection into the choreographed dance of all things.
