Steven put his gin and tonic back on the table beside his recliner, then stood up and began walking toward the door while saying to himself, "Dang it, who could be ringing my doorbell?" Steven was still swearing to himself when he opened the door only to learn that there wasn't anyone there. But just before he closed the door he looked down and there in front of the door was a medium size box, wrapped in brown paper. As Steven picked up the box, he asked himself, "What the heck could this possibly be? Oh well, I guess I need to listen to see if I hear a ticking sound."
