"The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising" by Elaine Landau is just 143 pages and can be found in the childrens' section of your library. However, for my history research project (I am in 10th grade), it was very valuable; the best source I had found. It gives a very detailed description of life in the ghetto, events leading up to the uprising- including preparations and life from the Nazi side- and numerous chapters devoted to the uprising itself. The best thing about it, however, is that it's short- it can be read easily in two days, and doesn't uses large, complicated terms to describe what happened. To get started on learning about the historic Warsaw ghetto uprising, or to provide an introduction to Jewish ghettos in general, this book can be useful and instrumental. Great for kids and adults.
