Understanding Scripture like I have never read before.

This book is so good for clarifying the gospel and the truth of Christ, I am purchasing a second copy to share and likely more copies. I am a fan of other excellent Christian authors, not to diminish them. But this one is so clear I am in awe.

The War IS Over

This book helped me to understand the true Gospel, not what man's traditions have passed off as the Gospel. For years I was afraid of God because of my misunderstandings about who God is...such as "he's in heaven just waiting to punish me for the least wrong I do." It's hard to love and trust a God like that. It was a revelation to learn that God isn't mad at me anymore because of what Christ did for me at Calvary. I really highly recommend this book.

Non-watered down gospel truth

Andrew Wommack has been criticized and rebuked for years. I've been studying many of his teachings over the past several months and honestly could not find a justifiable reason that warranted the vicious responses from clergy and like. After listening to this one and reading the literature backup, I finally see where they're coming from. The War Is Over touches on arguably the most sensitive topic discussed in the church, sin. The topic is stripped bare and down to the main root and result of Jesus' crucifixion. The sin of everyone (believers AND non-believers), past, present, and future has been paid by Jesus, and God's wrath against man (as told in the Old Testament) is over. A born-again Christian who commits a sin does not need to ask forgiveness from God, because the sin has already been forgiven. God is not mad at you, and will not condemn you for any sin you have or will commit. Jaw hit the floor yet? Because of his non-watered down interpretation of the gospel, Wommack has been pronounced a radical and false teacher of the Word by many pastors and religious leaders. Also I have been hard-pressed to find ANY of his literature in Christian book stores. With today's growth of countless mega-churches and thousands of people on the fence trying to overcome tumultuous lives and tragedies, the message conveyed here will thoroughly boggle and confuse the minds of those transitioning Christians. As a result, you have to be a VERY mature Christian to truly connect and follow up on this concept. Some may be able to make the big leap here, but I feel they will be very few and far-between. The classic misinterpretation of this message is that it's ok to sin, because it's already been paid for. Wommack refutes that emphatically in his book. However, opening the door for this misinterpretation is the last thing most pastors want preached in their sermons. As a result, this teaching is too radical and non-traditional for the typical church of today. If your relationship with Jesus is strong, and you have clearly set the boundaries between sin and the understanding of God's love in your life, then you will no doubt find this book the amazing, powerful, and life-changing work that it is.
