I was in Mr. Wartik's 4th grade class when the book came out. I enjoyed it, and am still reading it over and over. Can't wait for the second book! He told me that it's less than a month from launching.
what an enjoyable book!

As a 23 year old who wishes she was still in the 4th grade, this was a really fun and enjoyable read. The first-person narration was consistent and made the story that much more relatable. While there was, of course, fantasy and magic involved in the plot, it was contained enough so the story was still fun, but realistic enough to prove a greater lesson in the end that most kids & adults could relate to at some point in their lives. Can't wait for the next book!!!!
A "must read" to any class!

Mr. Wartik has crafted a great book! The Vonnesta Project is fantastic! It is a page turner for young and old. I could not put this book down. The characters are well developed and the story moves along at a perfect pace. What a treat to read. I can not wait to use The Vonnesta Project in the classroom. I eagerly await the next installment of this amazing series. Well Done! ~Beth Kern

Knowing Mr. Wartik personally, really brings this book to a new level. Despite that, the book was an amazingly intricate book full of mystery. The whole time I was worried and afraid about the future. I was afraid Niederkorn was going to show up dead. I was worried what would ahppen to Jeremy when he went down. I really liked this book and I think you should read it!!!!!!!!
One I will read over and over again; my kids love it!

Wartik has crafted a fine book in the pages of The Vonnesta Project. I'm reading it to my own group of fourth graders and they can't wait for me to read it to them each day. This book is ideal for a class read aloud, but is also a fun read for anyone who enjoys mysterious and enchanting work. The chapters are written in such a way that the readers want to keep turning to find out more about this mysterious disovery. This book has some elements of fiction that faintly remind me of the feel of J.K. Rawlings and Lemony Snickett, but with a more grounded, American tone. I highly recommend this book and personally can't wait to read the next installment of the Vonnesta Project!
