The Voice

This book chronicles the personal journey of the author in his search for truth as he follows the Voice and ultimately ends his search with the Catholic Church. He is led from his roots as a Baptist through Christian and non-Christian belief systems. He was baptized in the Baptist church, prayed in tongues in the Pentecostal, spent time with the Mormons and still remained completely frustrated in his search. He turned to Hinduism, Buddhism, new age thought, and studied every known major religious belief system. Still frustrated he finally gave up and decided there was no answer. The truth wasn't meant to be known. The Voice returned and pushed him to continue his search until he found himself in the one church that he had always believed was in complete error and bound for hell, the Catholic Church. He found the end of his journey, not so much that he found the Catholic church but rather that through the Catholic church he found Jesus Christ and eventually was ordained as a Deacon. It wasn't until he reached the end of his journey that he finally realized the nagging, persistent hunger he had felt his entire life was the Voice of the Holy Spirit guiding him. The author presently serves at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson, TX.
