The Voice of a Child was written because God asked me to tell my story. He wanted me to help others understand that bad things do happen to children, or people, in general; but God is always there, even in times of darkness and struggle. This book was written only to guide those who feel there is no way out, those who may have no hope left, or those that simply feel all alone. My story is based on real events in my life and it took me a very long time to write them on paper. The loneliness, emptiness, shame, anger, and hurt ruled a major part of my life until I made a firm decision to change the outcome of my future. There are some aspects of my life that I have chosen to leave out due to the graphic nature of the abuse I incurred as a child. I have left out those details for the safety of little eyes and curious hearts that may pick up this book to read it. The process for my healing is long and very painful but much needed in order for me to move on to the abundant life God has waiting for me.I want to encourage everyone who chooses to grab this book. I pray that whatever struggles, hardships, or abuses you may have suffered, the God of grace, love, and mercy would show Himself to you. He is your Healer, Comforter, Restorer, and Refuge throughout your healing process. I pray that God will put the right Spirit-filled people in your life to help you on your journey to restoration. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
