Ground-breaking Study of Job

This excellent study of the book of Job focuses on the chapters containing God's response to Job, showing explicitly how God (contrary to many previous interpretations) does indeed respond specifically to Job's cries for justice. The discussion is presented clearly and convincingly. Although I taught courses on Job in my Old Testament survey for 40 years, I found the author breaking new ground based on an exciting new translation. She recognizes the valuable work of Pope, Habel, Jantzen and other major commentaries while going beyond them in convincing fashion. I highly recommend this excellent study to all who are interested in the book of Job. Norman W Spellmann, professor emeritus, Southwestern University
