Together, Jake and Krindle journey through this treacherous Virginia underworld, building an army as they go, set on defeating the Parix and freeing the enslaved creatures of the mountain's arcane spaces. When they reach the heart of the Parix stronghold they discover a species of parasites that enslave and destroy.
