The Vineyard, Assessing the Biblical Landscape Through Metaphors

By Dror Ben Ami

For thousands of years, people have been struggling to understand both the Old and New Testaments. While many stories seem "clear as day," others leave the reader "standing in a fog."
In this book, you will be introduced to hundreds of metaphors found in the scriptures. We will be discussing stories such as:
● The Garden of Gethsemane
● The Land of Milk and Honey
● The Parables of the Vineyard
● Jacob and the Sheep of Laban ● David and Goliath
● The Throne of Solomon
● The Dove of Noah

This is not an easy book, but if one is willing to make the effort, it can be a very rewarding book. Studying these metaphors will open for you an entirely new Bible where blessings and curses become comprehensible and not just words.
THE VINEYARD is a complete, "stand-alone" work, but it also serves to complement the book The Final Jubilee (The Restoration of Israel).
THE VINEYARD discusses various metaphors which make the scriptural stories easier to understand and more relatable to one another.
The Final Jubilee takes some of those same metaphors and uses them to show the relevance of these ancient stories to the 21st century.
Dror Ben Ami has studied English and Comparative Literature at Georgetown University, George Washington University, and the University of Haifa. His research started almost 50 years ago, focusing on the works of Dr. Maurice Nicoll; since then, Mr. Ben Ami has written on Torah law, the Gospels, and current religious affairs. Living in Israel since 1980, he brings a unique perspective to religious studies, challenging many traditional views held for centuries by both the Christian and Jewish communities.
