Crazy pays

I came upon Mangum's first book, Dead and Dying Angels,in the series by accident and read it for free. I actively searched for The Vinegaroon Murders and paid full price. Mangrum takes you places you don't really want to go and then you find yourself laughing at the imagery he invokes. Some people, quite a few probably, will be offended by the religious point of view expressed, but it is a novel one. And there is quite a bit of violence, which I found myself justifying. Jamey starts out crazy in the first book and just gets crazier, but it's a crazy to which many people can relate. Both books are filled with dark humor and horrendous images, but I had to keep reading until the end. Now I am waiting for the third novel.
