The LEC series is best read in order as stories often span more than one volume and the characters evolve. The best way to make God laugh is to make a plan. Anon We begin with another wedding - Pepe and Marta. Success at last, thinks Pepe, until... Marta insists on circumcision... The honeymoon is not quite what Pepe expects either. We don't know what Marta expects, but what she gets is Pepe, and obviously that needs some work. And a bit of snipping? Pepe has other ideas which necessitates alcohol, culminating in a bit of join-up with Isabel. Now Marta is upset. And Pepe is contrite. This romance could last for volumes... (And does.) Marriage is a long dull meal with pudding as the first course. JB Priestley Someone, not Marta, insists on hanging el Capo of the Granada Guardia Civil from his ceiling fan. Some say its an improvement, so maybe it was Marta. But now he looks down on us all. Who will investigate? The Guardia Civil themselves? Hmm. Tenienta Carmen thinks different and suggests Jos . Chief Inspector Jos Blanco of the Polic a Nacional is on the job, until... Someone with a much higher view still declares it to be suicide. Obviously. So what was el Capo up to that he 'killed himself'? Jos has to put the murder on hold, but el Capo's secretary seems to be missing, so he'll investigate her whereabouts. Gheorghe, meanwhile, is doing his best not to view the inside of his eyelids - even the judge is caught dozing during the trial of the Romanian criminals in Gibraltar conducted in three languages with laborious translations. As those on trial are implicated in the death of the daughter of General Iorga, the head of Secret Police in Romania, Gheorghe decides to liven things up by going off to Bucharest to invite the General to Gibraltar. Like Pepe, Gheorghe finds flaws in his plan, and not much of a view from a dark basement where he is handcuffed to a wall in an uncomfortable position. The head of State Intelligence in Romania, however, has plans. And there is literally no one with a view higher than his own. Jes s, a man who never makes plans, doesn't even know what they are, somehow gets pulled into the machinations and... well, I'll let you imagine how that goes. A clue - bilocation comes in handy, as does Energy healing. And none of it was planned. Juan, of course, with an undeniable view from above, (well, where else would LEC be?) reports back on his adventures and learning curves in Love Energy Central. Oh, and it ends with a proposed third wedding Whatever happened to good ol' living in sin? And, fear not, there are Topics for Discussion (where you will be able to express your disgust with all this carry on )
