The Very Last Night At Otto's is a comedy play for adults published under the pseudonym Tom McLennec by TS McClymont. In Act One, it's Happy Hour at Otto's Bar in Frankfurt, around 1990. While all is not well between Otto and his girlfriend Gabi, Derek (from Scotland) and Teddy (from London) take delight in Manfred's crazy yarns. Manfred tells of an extraordinary encounter with a couple of famous pop stars outside a recording studio in Frankfurt - and adds that he has a guitar belonging to one of them. Meanwhile, Carola has taken a fancy to Derek. She's attractive and outgoing; unfortunately, she's also a sex-worker. Act Two takes us to a pub in Derek's hometown, where Teddy and his girlfriend pay him a visit. Derek has his own yarn to tell about meeting Billy Connolly. Quite unexpectedly, Carola has come all this way to show her affection for Derek, and immediately has a lengthy chat with Derek's mother. As for Teddy, we learn that alcohol is seriously affecting his health. In Act Three, it's the very last night before Otto's bar closes for good. Otto, Derek and Manfred (but not Teddy and not Gabi) are there. They've been to a funeral. Manfred has a guitar case with him. Does it contain that guitar? When was the last time Derek saw Teddy? Will Derek try to find true love with Carola? Indeed, is it possible to be happily romantically involved with an aspiring dominatrix? This three-act play asks questions. Though it answers some, it cannot answer all.
