The Velasco Kids

Long-ago in a small coastal town of Velasco Texas kids like I once was of that era of the sixties and seventies we all grew up in a time of when families pulled together, kids did chores and were disciplined if they misbehaved. Back in that era of my youth kids played outside all day long, mowed yards, had paper routes on bicycles, washed dishes, helped hang out wet clothes on clotheslines, made up our own beds and kids appreciated all that their parents did for them back then. Kids minded their parents or we'd all had gotten those old-school butt whippings in that old town I was raised up in and discipline was dealt with by either a belt or chinaberry tree switch. Kids played games that most of the time the made-up games were created from our own little imaginations. So, come back with me to my own personal yesteryear's past and let's do it all over again just you and I.
