Book Overview

"This book is a true and authenticated story of an epic victorious struggle of a Christian family of love and faith against Satan's evil demons. This book should be read and studied by all Christian persons and families in struggles of unknown origin."
-Dr. Frank R. Babish, DEd, DMin, ThD, DD

"Very interesting and extremely well written.
-Dr. William Roll, PhD, University of West Georgia

Lisa picked up the remote and turned down the volume. "Heidi, I want you to think real hard. This is very important. You know the man you met in the backyard today?

"Yeah, Mr. Gordy."

"Have you ever seen him before?"

"No ma'am," Heidi said, "But he promised me he'd come back. He promised to push me on the swing."

Stunned, Lisa was unable to go on with her questioning.

He promised me he'd come back. Chilling words.

Fear was not good, but on the other hand, having no fear could be even worse-and Heidi had no fear of this strange man and that's what disturbed Lisa most.

A Great Story

I really enjoyed reading The Veil because it reveals good and evil from both a natural and supernatural standpoint to me and it goes into more detail and events than the movie, A Haunting in Georgia does. It gives insight about parapsychological events and the various views on what causes and how to go about dealing with spirits in which Heidi encounters. The Wyricks are a very loving Christian family and the book helped me to see from their eyes the experiences that they had shared together.

Faith will Always pull you through

I found this book well written and I wish Heidi and her family my prayers to handling their gifts. My son and I have dreams and visions but they are not that clear as yalls. We just try to tell them to go to the light their family is waiting. This book help me to understand more of how my son feels. Thank you and God Bless.

A peek beyond 'The Veil'

I was inspired to read this book after seeing "A Haunting in Georgia". I still remember the "Unsolved Mysteries" segment on "Mr. Gordy". I am a believer in spirits, ghosts and life after death. This book has so much to say about family, faith, friends, love, good and evil, triumphing over adversity, the nature of life and death and eternity...what more can you ask for in a book? I cried over Mr. Gordy and "Con"; kept checking over my shoulder whenever I was alone, imagining I saw Heidi's "dark figure" (one of the creepiest characters I've ever encountered in a TV show and book); and cheered for Heidi overcoming the narrowmindedness of her classmates. The Wyricks are a strong, normal American family dealing with extraordinary circumstances.

The Veil - Heidi Wyrick's Story

This book is absolutely riveting!!! I simply could not put it down. It is one of the best books I've read in years because it brought out so many emotions. I have highly recommended this book to many of my friends who loved it as well. It is refreshing to read something that brings to light such Christian values that is lacking in our world today. Great job!
