Despite the poetic license, this is still a good book about the virtues of saving and looking for be

While the author takes significant poetic license with some aspects of the life of Benjamin Franklin, the story is still one to learn by. Given that the purpose is to impart the value of thrift and saving rather than be historically accurate, the points of exaggeration can be overlooked. Benjamin Franklin was one of the most talented Americans that ever lived, a true Renaissance man that helped create a new country. This is a good book about some prime virtues, the daily acts of saving and of looking around and asking the question, "How can we do things better?" Franklin not only looked, he also acted, inventing many devices based on principles still used today. Franklin was and is an inspiration to all to work smarter and harder and this book is an excellent distillation of his approach to life.
