Great starting point for kids

Unless your a music teacher by trade the idea of teaching music to a child is intimidating. I recommend The Usborne First Book of Music. This book will help you take your kids though the basic concepts in music. If you take 30-45 minutes each week you'll finish the book in 6-7 months and your children will have a good foundation in music. The book starts by explaining just what music is followed by learning pitch and rhythms, types of music, how music is used, world music, historical music, reading music and more. There are easy activity to help children understand the concept. This book is a great starting point for music.
