unbelievable read

after graduating seminary and attending doctorate of ministry courses, this was the most important educational experience i've had. had i read this book while in seminary, it would've exponentially increased the effectiveness of my education. Jones introduces the reader to the most radical and most transformative teaching ever. many people look to a book called The Secret or a New Earth, but Jones reminds us that the central teaching of Jesus Christ is the secret that will institute and establish a new earth.

A Mindset for Revival

E.Stanley Jones maps out very convincing and compelling arguments for the Unshakable Kingdom of God and the Unchanging Person of Jesus Christ. There are no frills about the book. Jones explains the Gospel and the way believers need to live in this world; that is to say, with the mindset of living life for God's kingdom.

The Necessary Foundation of the Christian Faith

E. Stanley Jones, the late Methodist missionary, writes from his personal experience of encountering and engaging the different world religions that only two things remain steadfast as recorded in the book of Hebrews - Jesus Christ and Kingdom of God. These are the two unshakable "must qualities" of the Christian faith. Many Christians mistakenly make their primary focus a church building, the institution or an organizational structure. These may appear important, however, they are all shakable and can easily crumble. Only when Christ and the Kingdom remain central will the Christian faith be able to engage the world and experience Godly transformation. Jones was well ahead of his time and those in postmodern America would be wise to read this book as it speaks to our present situation today!
