the unexplainable, the mysterious

pete rock's got a knack for finding the unknowable in the everyday. he takes the gaps in perception and, through story, gives glimpses at what might fill those mysterious areas we can't perceive and just can't quite reason away. you'll walk around for days a bit bewildered, a bit spacey, expecting the fanastical.

I picked this collection up on the recommendation of a friend and was blown away. It's one of the most original collections I've read this year. The stories seem to start in the everyday and then suddenly take a turn to wonderland. Amazing.
