Volume VI: The Unlocked Edition, with 40 contributors and 13 returning writers submitting from five of our workshops in Greater Boston, and beyond, showcases what we discovered in a neo-dystopian America. We learned about what connected and divided us most under adversarial, and inequitable, conditions. Ironically, our only live, in-person, full-length session of the year was held inside a jail. And, notably, our masked, "Inside Expressions," participants account for the highest number of submissions from one workshop printed in a journal, to date. The strength and spirit of these writers provide a critical framework to hold together the stories of all the others also experiencing their own, modified, pandemic-style lock-down, who were brave enough to look both inward and outward and share their work as well.
