Most scientists hold the opinion that the universe is eternal, while the Biblical scholars believe there was a beginning. It has been proven that there was an official beginning The question has not been settled as to when exactly that beginning took place. There is still an issue of if there ever was was neither time, space, or matter? In case you missed the obvious, science and religion view things differently They view the human experience, the universe at large, and the total creation thing in a different way. Science explains things based on evidence. Religion, on the other hand, doesn't necessarily depend on evidence, they rely heavily on faith . That is the center of this discussion.
