The Underdog: A Celebration of Mutts

What a wonderful book on dogs who have mixed lineage. I have a wonderful mutt and what the book says about having the good qualities of the breeds is very right. At times, though the qualities that aren't so great come up. The book is very well written and is a must for anyone who has ever had a loveable mutt. Those who have never had a "mixed breed" should think about it. There are many at the local shelters to be adopted. You who are thinking of getting a dog this is a must read. Those of you who are buying the book.....Enjoy!!!

A truly wonderful and entertaining book!

Finally mutts get the respect that they deserve! A wonderful book packed with both useful and fun information. Be sure to check out the "Mutt Family Tree" section. I have three mutts and always enjoy trying to figure out "the mystery of the mix".

Yay for us Mutt Mavers!

Both of my dogs are mutts, and when I found this book at the dog store I knew I wanted it! There is a boy at school who has many purebreads and said the book and mutts in general are stupid- Yeah, right! Purebreads are boring, predictable, and not as healthy as mutts are. This book really shows you how important mutts are. After all, the first dog in space was a mutt, and many presidents and celerities have or had mutts.

A splendid celebration of the mutt--and a very useful all-round dog care book, too!

Mutt-lovers--and who isn't?--this is your book. Noted pet author Julia Szabo has written a niftily designed, information-packed guide to the care, feeding, dressing, training of--and even knitting for--the glorious blended dog. A witty intro by Isaac Mizrahi, tons of great dog care facts, best dog books and movies, celebrity mutt profiles, and a terrific resource list make this book a very useful addition to ANY dog lover's book shelf. Martha Garvey, author, "My Fat Dog: 10 Simple Steps to Help Your Pet Lose Weight for a Long and Happy Life (Hatherleigh Press, 2005)."

The most charming and useful books on mutts EVER

Perfect for anyone who owns a mutt or has ever loved one -- great information, charming anecdotes and witty writing. Really wonderful and clearly written by someone who has a unique passion for animals.
