Is there someone in your life that loves you and holds you accountable? Do they point you back to God's Word when you are stumped? Having a mentor is beneficial to everyone; especially Believers. It's less like an instantaneous upload and more like a slow, metamorphosis. Why? Because it takes time to build and establish trust and accountability. You have to be able to trust the God in your mentor; know without a shadow of doubt that he/she will literally go to war with the enemy on behalf of your soul. You may ask yourself, who is this "Uncommon Mentor?" She goes by the name, Elder Rhonda Ferguson-Lewis. God has entrusted her with nearly 50 women to coach and mentor over her life span in which hasn't always been the easiest; yet God knew there was something in her that He needed to get to those women in order for them to see all that He has for them. Elder Rhonda has a responsibility to fulfill by presenting herself as a role model that is not only in talk but in walk. Spiritually this means that she "leads by example" as commanded by Scripture where it is evident she is led by the Holy Spirit and presents a godly role model of Christ-like behavior to those she mentors.
