The Ultimate Wodehouse Collection

One of the most popular humorists of the 20th century was English novelist P.G. Wodehouse. Wodehouse put a lot of effort into writing his works, frequently working on two or more at once. He may spend up to two years developing the narrative and penning a thirty thousand word scenario. He would finish the scene and then write the narrative. When he was younger, he could finish a novel in around three months, but as he got older, it took him closer to six months. He created a writing style that has been compared to humorous poetry and musical comedy by combining Edwardian slang with quotations from and allusions to several poets.

Love Wodehouse

Great reading of one of the great humorists of the twentieth century. It's all there faithfully transcribed and therein lies my only real problem with the edition: how can you produce a thousand=page volume with dozens of chapters and/or titles without a table of contents? You can't find anything. Looking for Jeeves and Wooster? Gotta rummage around. Looking for Blandings Castle and Lord Emsworth? Not there. Golf stories? Ditto. Still, a reasonably priced edition, fully readable but, unfortunately, glued, not stitched issuance.
