This wife and mother of two was forced to ask the tough questions after a brush with death during the 9/11 disaster. She asked questions like, could her spouse survive financially if something happened to her? Who would care for her children? In the event of a disability for either her or her spouse, would there be enough money coming in for the family to survive? Was there enough insurance coverage? These are all questions we should ask, but fail to get the answers. In other words we fail to plan for inevitable emergencies like death, or potential ones like unemployment and disability.
