This is a spiritual book. In God there was a natural man-the first Adam. Gen. 2-7-Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. This man was a soul. The scripture says "he became a living soul" The first Adam listened to his flesh(Eve) and sin entered into him. Jesus Christ -the second Adam came to redeem us from sin, and bring us back into God's spirit. Jesus was the image of God, as he was without sin, God is a spirit, to become the image of God , we have to become what he is.
