An American Classic

Short stories, I am sad to say, seem to be a thing of the past; a medium of entertainment that has been washed ashore and grounded by wave after wave of reality shows, video games, and other mindless forms of amusement. Though its golden age may be gone, the short story isn't dead just yet... Randy Hendricks is an absolute master of the written word, his stories in this collection strike the bitter sweet chord of long lost nostalgia and the carefree days of barefooted childhood when all was right with the world and no dark thought hung in the mind for more than a moment. His skill with prose is nothing short of expert wordsmithery, and the descriptions he gives us of time and place rank right up there with the best American authors.
