Worth Reading

This was a very interesting and very well researched story about Harriet Tubman. I knew just the basics about her that were covered in class, not anything else really, so she was a figure I was interested in reading more about. Some historical novels can get bogged down by so many historical details that they become heavy and some skip so many details that they seem inauthentic, but that is not what happens here. There is a good balance between the historical details and the story line and the two don't cancel each other out. This is a powerful story and Harriet was absolutely a force who earned her place in American history! I was really glad to read this and the next time this author comes out with something, I will have to check it out! Worth reading for anyone who likes history!
