The Book - The Truth of Grace; the Error of Hypergrace - addresses the error of 'eternal security, otherwise called 'hypergrace', or 'once saved, saved forever, which teaches that once a Christian receives and confesses Jesus, that Christian is sure of making heaven, regardless of any sins he or she continues to commit.

It teaches that God keeps no record of any sins committed by a Christian, and that confession of sins and repentance is not necessary for a Christian. In its extreme form, it also affirms that only the Epistles are meant for Christians and that the Old Testament, the Four Gospels, and the Book of Revelation are not for Christians.

It has been found that this dangerous doctrine is growing geometrically and festering extensively in the Church, and is particularly attractive to young people. The doctrine is meant to weaken the church, subtly destroy the church, quench the genuine fire of true soul-winning, and wage war against the message of holiness, righteousness and focus on eternity.

It is meant to send a large number of people to hellfire, who will only wake up to know the truth in the lake of fire when repentance will no longer be possible. This book, which is the product of a just-completed Thesis in Masters of Theology in LIFE Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, presents the centrality, power, and wonderful significance of the true grace of God, which delivers Christians from the penalty of sin through forgiveness and from the power of sin through progressive sanctification, and which empowers a believer to serve God, obey God and do the will of God in all things.

It presents the content and teachings of hypergrace and eternal security, which are then confronted and debunked by the Word of God. It presents the causes for the increasing spread of this error in the church today, the consequences, and the way out. It addresses the two sides of God, why we must fear God, and how to overcome besetting sins through progressive sanctification.

It also ends with a comment on the true eternal security for the genuine believer that fears God, obeys God, believes God, and trusts in the sustaining power and the unfailing promises of God to keep the true saint to the very end.
