I found this biography extremely well detailed. There's not just scads of pictures, letters & maps, but the immense reference section backs up everything the author says, this author had found lots of juicy little details I had not seen in other books about this remarkable pirate, liked the fact that even though he was said to dislike cuss words the writer shows in the history books where he engaged in a cussing match with a governor, & in more that one language. She also discovered that there was a cabin boy aboard. Still more, the author does not merely refer to Public Records, she actually has copies of them in her book. Several copies of PRO documents are showcased & a multitude of letters & newspaper clippings are reproduced as well. All in all it was a very enjoyable read.
I Really Enjoyed The Read!

Well written. And not only were there tons of Pictures, Maps, & Letters throughout the book that help the reader identify with the time & the elements of the 1720s, there's another, almost 50 pages of reference pages containing copies of pages from PROs, etc... verifying everything the author states.
