Though each person in Denall is born with at least one of the six gifts bestowed by the ancient sorcerers, the power of those gifts varies drastically. Those with the strongest gifts can perform feats of great strength, super-human hearing, or be exceptionally skilled magicians, but these gifts can be enhanced further with one of the six Stones of Power! To most people the Stones of Power were a forgotten myth, a thing of legends. However, there was a group who actively sought them for the multi-marked sorcerer, Mordyar. Knowing their great value, and the promised reward for their discovery, there was nothing a stone seeker wouldn't do to present a Stone of Power to his master.
Unaware of the legend of the Stones of Power, the aggressive stone seekers, or the danger posed by Mordyar, Kaz Kinsley, and three friends, set out to begin their Troven, a year-long traditional exile from their small village. When Kaz unknowingly comes into possession of the Sight Stone, the boys will have to deal with more adventure on their Troven than they ever could have imagined!
