Great read!!

I bought this book because I saw the advertisement on Chuck Palahniuk website and it caught my eye. After visiting the website and checking out the trailer I was more than happy to fork over the cash to grab a copy. After reading the book I was glad I did. It's a fast paced thriller that offers the kind of twisted reality that I really enjoy reading about. I can't wait to see what Aicher will come up with next. The big publishers should open their eyes and snatch him up!! Great story!

This is a good one

Mr. Aichers book is a thriller you can't put down. Gory at times. Kept me guessing. Great job.

Excellent pacing, gripping story!

The quick pacing throughout the story definitely keeps you turning the pages. The writing of the book is very vivid. The setting, the characters and their feelings, the scenery and especially those chilling gory bits all come in crystal clear! The questions surrounding who did it, why did they do it and the breakdown of the main character keeps things very tense throughout the whole book. Some good bits of philosophy spread out keeps you thinking and keeps things mysterious especially at the end which was particularly surprising!

Better Than Good

I often listen to music while I read and this is the first time a writer took this into consideration. The song choices show Aicher's better-than-usual choice in music. Music helps set the tone on another level of what both the writer and the characters might be going through. The Trouble With Being God delivers gore and evokes deep thought. This book is meant to ask questions, not to answer them. It is a mystery of the current condition of the media, our relationships with religion, those around us and with ourselves. With all the seriousness, the book is written with a wit and realness that made me think . o O ( That could never happen. ) Through learning about the characters I began to re-examine my own assumptions about what my limits are and where my inner serial killer lies. ;) I'm surprised this is his first novel and look forward to the next one.
