When Daniel and Ashley pack their bags and set off to return to their life in the city, they are resigned to an unspoken, unaddressed decline and failure in their marriage and personal lives. The distance and coldness between them seems as insurmountable as the icy mountains through which their train precariously winds its way. When their carriage suddenly shudders to a halt and falls into darkness, however, they and the other passengers are forced to step outside and await rescue. The chance meeting that results from these unforeseen circumstances leads to them to a reassessment of everything: of their marriage, of their future, of themselves as individuals, and ultimately of the very purpose of their lives. The Trip is about a journey to find oneself and the path to being true to oneself. That path may have steps and milestones, but because everyone is different, everybody's journey is different. The Trip to AROZA is a journey that only the reader can make for his or herself.
