The Triodion Period: Dialogical and Interfaith Discussions

This text's writing, or rather the compilation, is due to the persistent request of a respected and dear Brother who diligently shepherds the Diocese of the Church of Greece.

"Many faithful come to the services of our Church," he said, "during the Great Lent, but how many are aware of what is being done? For example, they rush to the Pre-Sanctified, but how many know what it is and why it is called Pre-Sanctified? Many say, 'Today the Triodion opens, ' but how many know what the Triodion is? So, write something about these topics. Something simple and enlightening. Many souls will benefit..."

As the reader will notice, this work contains almost nothing of our own. I simply limited myself to a collection of material that could edify the faithful.

If this present work is deemed to fulfil its purpose, we will, God willing, continue a similar effort for the other periods of the Church Year.

May the Holy God bless this small and humble offering to contribute to the edification of the Church, which He has cherished with the precious Blood of His Immaculate and Spotless Son, our Lord and God and Savior Christ, the Blessed One, unto the ages.
