To those that really knew Walter Fitchett he was a diligent teacher and a reliable friend. To everybody else he was the man who accidentally dropped his trousers in front of a jogger and her dog. So, he wasn't surprised when he was portrayed by the local television news channel as a suicidal clown for accepting a bet to fly to Spain and back in a microlight.

Sadly, this wasn't far from the truth. He didn't know how to fly, and he was afraid of heights. But with the proceeds of the bet promised to the children's hospital, Walter, supported by his misfit friends, had no choice but to try.

Nobody expected him to succeed, but equally nobody expected the trip to turn into an international manhunt for the Ball Bag Bandit. With the world's news media and the Barcelona police hot on his trail, Walter Fitchett was forced to face himself in the mirror and ask, 'Who am I?'
