I haven’t finished so I am biased but this book is really good. An interesting read and I don’t know how it’s going to end. Adding to my bookshelf immediately.
Amazing and unique book.

The Trees was more than I expected. It is written like no other book I have ever read. It kept me going and thinking. Although it is a gruesome and very sad story, I was captured by its deeper meaning. At least what I think was a deeper meaning. And there are little funnies throughout. I will need to go back and read it again to see what new things I pick up
Eye opener

This is an incredibly written book! It is not for everyone - for instance those who think that the U.S. is perfect as it is. It is written from the perspective of a man of color who has knowledge of the southern white culture and doesn't sugar coat it. It is written in a humorous way, although you ask yourself why you are laughing because the subject is not funny. It does revolve around the murder of those involved in the horrible (lies) death of Emmet Till and the anger that still exists due to that. It is written frlfor those who understand the song "Strange Fruit". An amazing book!
