All it took was one man and a single spark for the world to come crashing down. For millions of people, the future has been destroyed by a mysterious arsonist imbued with power over time and space, known only as the Traveler, whose fires wreak havoc across what remains of the states living under martial law.

But one day, he can take it no longer. Consumed by guilt for what he has done, the Traveler goes back in time with the intent to wipe himself from existence, wherein he meets his past-self, a meek and hopeless sixteen-year-old. Then and there, something inside of him changes.

Instead of killing himself as initially planned, the Traveler decides to use the power of the Talisman, a time-bending wristwatch, to give his past-self a better life so that he may grow up to become someone better than himself. Though, the question plagues his past-self: Do we have power over our lives, or is our fate predetermined? Together, the two must confront a dark past to alter the course of their destiny, forming an unexpected bond along the way and questioning what it truly means to be family, all while being hunted by the vengeful remnants of the Utah Militia from the future
