Margaret, a high school student begins to have vivid dreams that she has been enlisted into an extraterrestrial advanced mind control military unit in another dimension. While awake, her daily routine is relatively mundane (doing homework, going to friends' houses, basketball practice) but come nighttime everything changes. Her parents worried, Margaret seeks therapy with an adolescent psychologist that is as bewildered as she is regarding the source of these life-like dreams. The only practical thing Margaret can understand is that she is referred to by her extraterrestrial captives as "The Trainee".
