Fantasy: Thomas is a young self-taught motion mage who can create and route motion lines which transfer momentum energy. He discovered a 200 year old journal written by Mage Dror, an unpublished researcher into motion and visual magic, and an inventor of many of the basic ideas used in motion toys. Using this knowledge from the journal, Thomas is employed as a part time contractor at toy shops around the large city of Georgtown. He is sent to the castle complex on a dispatch call to fix a remote control toy. The call order was slightly off; the problem involved a set of remote controlled powered gliders with optical feedback. Prince Andrei and Prince Alexi had purchased them after watching a demo at a college exposition. Realizing the importance of remote mobile surveillance, they returned to their home island to convince the military to explore this new capability. When the remotes did not work, they requested their attach? office to call in a remote controller specialist, and they ended up with young Thomas.
