Strange however, Max discovers this completed Torah was found deep in The Church of St Nicholas, Prague, after the Russians left. Finally the found Torah, Aaron's Torah, took its remarkable journey to Oregon.While repairing the damaged Torah, Max uncovers hidden maps to the location of priceless Van Gogh paintings his father hid, before the German invasion. Thus starts the circle of events that follows the damaged Torah from Eugene, Oregon to New York, then to the sewers of Prague, on to Munich, Germany, and finally back to a New York Auction House. Unknown to Max are powerful men also looking for the location of the valuable treasures hidden in the Torah, and they are willing to kill for it.This exciting treasure hunt first revealed by the discovery of the Torah in the Church Of Saint Nicholas, is overshadowed by stolen Van Gogh's, the German invasion of Czechoslovakia, and the eighty thousand Jews who perished in the Holocaust. It is also a romantic adventure story of Max and his son Avi finding love and their roots.
