What do you do after your greatest victory? Or your greatest defeat?
That is the question facing Sofia and the nascent dragonlord. One has just been integral to a success she could have never imagined, while the other suffered a humbling blow demonstrating he never saw things as clearly as he believed.
What will Sofia do now that she and her friends have helped overthrow a kingdom? She quickly learns that was simply another step on her journey, and probably not the most difficult. After all, who does a kingdom turn to when their royalty has fallen?
In the past, as Kemuri learns to survive, he must reinvent himself, and do so by changing more than his name. However, he find out some enemies cannot be forgotten or overlooked, they always come back to haunt you. No matter how far you travel to escape them. Not to mention, how does he learn to trust again?
When their worlds change so drastically, so quickly, Sofia and Kemuri have to decide whether to remake themselves. They are forced to confront who they are now and what they believe. Both of them are left with choices to either reaffirm their beliefs, or perhaps bend or break them in service to their new identity. At least, who their respective worlds believe them to be.
When your life has been upended, perhaps it is a time for rebirth.
