the Tigers kept me up all night

A few weeks ago, I picked this book up in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep. I ended up not being able to sleep because I was too wrapped up in the story to put it down. I read it cover to cover. In one evening, the Toilet Paper Tigers easily seduced a well-read, intelligent woman. The plot, completely devoid of any romantic interest, is the kind of wholesome stuff I had forgotten about in the many years since I last read a book with a 4-6 grade target audience. Honestly, I loved it.

Gordon Korman does it again

Toilet Paper Tigers is a great book, even for those readers who are not children anymore. I picked up this book at a book fair and the silly, witty style and amusing characters have kept me interested in rereading it at least once a year. Korman cleverly divides the chapters by the characters of a run-down baseball team full of misfits (that has a toilet paper as their logo) and the various fears, worries, and shortcomings that they all possess. Each chapter helps the character out his shell, so that by the end of the book, the team works efficiently and wins a few games. The players' overcoming their problems is hampered, however, by the coach's granddaughter, who is a menace to the team. Overall, a very fulfilling and satisfying book.

One of the best books ever!

This book was a wonderful, humorous story that should be read and enjoyed by everyone! Toilet Paper Tigers kept my family and I in peels of laughter. I am still giggling to myself as I remember. This is one of the best books I have ever read, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a great, really funny book.

So what if it's predictable? It's hilarious!

Yes, we all know how this is going to end, but don't let that stop you from reading this book! You don't have to be a sports fan at all to read this, but it is hilarious. This is one of the few books I've read where I have actually laughed out loud while reading. Also check out another one of Korman's that is equally funny, with a slightly more interesting, twisted plot- the Chicken Doesn't Skate.
