THE TIMELESS BOOK OF POETRY AND READINGS

This little book is inspired by real life sights, sounds, events and experiences. It is intended to share those events and experiences with anyone that has suffered any kind of hardship in the lives, been in love, lost a love, loves nature or is just curious to read a unique kind of poetry and readings. To those who grew up in poverty or an abusive household, I say, there is a light at the end of the tunnel if you just let go and let God. If God is not the head of your life, Find your higher power and take control and do not allow the past to dictate your presence or your future.I know about the nightmares. I sometimes still have them, but in the light of day, they have no place, no power and no reality. The reality is that this was something that happened to you. This does not define you, reflect upon who you are or determine your worth. You are Kings and Queens in your own right and should be treated as such. You are strong enough to push through the pain and disappointments of life. Abuse sufferers tend to accept less from life because they feel as if they do not deserve better. They have been beaten, broken, neglected, physically, mentally, emotionally or verbally abused and bruised. I say to you, that you deserve all the best and do not settle for anything less. Remove yourself from any form of abuse past or present right now, today. If you need help, tell someone. Abusers only have power when you endure in silence.I studied to be a therapist and got a degree in Human Services. I later studied to be a psychologist, but ended up working as a community support specialist, working with disabled clients. Before that, I studied early childhood education and ran a 24 hour childcare for more than twelve years. The childcare catered to and supported the needs of families needing care for special needs, medical and special needs, non traditional hours. My life has been spent in service of other, in volunteering in the community, in nursing homes, in our schools and with helping the homeless when and where I could. I wanted this chapter of my life to be giving and supportive as well. So this is for you. I hope and pray that something here will help somebody as they travel along. May God Bless and Keep you all. Pray for me as I continue to grow. This book also addresses life, love, love lost and hopefully has some inspirational components that will help someone. My goal is to help one someone, another someone and then another someone by letting them hear that they are not alone and that they can be empowered to break the chains that bind them and stop the cycle of abuse as well as make better choices in life. My prayers are with you as you grow.
